Description:
The Customer Care Representative is responsible for processing customer purchase orders, resolving issues, handling inquiries, cross referencing, expediting, and communication with suppliers.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for handling inbound sales and customer call/emails relating to service status or challenges/concerns/issues within the network.
- Responsible for handling in-bound sales and customer calls, processing and expediting all customer orders.
- Processes, via computer, all customer requests. Flexibility and capability to utilize multiple systems required to research information.
- Researches and resolves customer issues, expedites back orders, handle returns and special requests, and interacts with outside sales force to ensure regular communication on pricing issues, customer issues, etc.
- Decision making required based on policies and past precedence.
- Held accountable to performance metrics such as schedule adherence, productivity standards and quality standards.
Experience & Skills:
- Must possess excellent communication and telephone skills
- Must be a team player and have the ability to work independently.
- Possesses proven problem solving skills.
- Must be customer focused.
- Possesses organization and time management skills.
- Practices attentive and active listening.
- Ability to maintain composure and positive attitude during difficult times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma; Bachelor degree a plus
- Excellent written communication skills particularly in area of email communication
- 1-3 years applicable experience
- Prior experience in Customer Service or Call Center preferred
- Intermediate PC skills required
Environmental Working Conditions & Physical Effort:
- Typically works in an office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation and a normal range of temperature and noise level.
- Work assignments are diversified. Examples of past precedent are used to resolve work problems. New alternatives may be developed to resolve problems.
- A frequent volume of work and deadlines impose strain on routine basis.
- Minimal physical effort is required. Work is mostly sedentary but does require walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting or carrying objects that typically weigh less than 10 lbs.
